We got a wonderful surprise this afternoon in my email. We got word that we have I600-A approval. We have been waiting for about 70 days. Our agency filed our I600 today.
We were told this should take about about 2 weeks to get approval. CIS has been running behind on this as well. Once we get I600 approval it is sent to DC and logged there. It is then sent to National Visa Center. Once Garrett has his Visa interview(which is a medical exam). He will be cleared to travel. From now till then will take about 6 weeks. It may take a bit longer since CIS is behind on our side. We getting close to bringing our baby boy home. Say lots of prayers that CIS keep moving us along.

Passing the Time
We'll it's been 4 weeks since we signed our acceptance paper work. Mike and I are keeping busy. The room is painted it is two colors. It's lite yellow almost white and a pooh bear yellow. I bought the Zanzibar border so I hope to get that up this weekend. Mike has to buy the new base boards and get that done.
Last weekend we bought the crib and dressers. One of the dressers had to be ordered. I can't wait to put it all together. This is the crib in white. We got it in chestnut. The only thing I need to find now is a rug to put down so the floor isn't so cold.

We are still waiting on our I600-A approval. We have been waiting 8 weeks. We have been told it is talking 90 - 109 days from they day you are finger printed which was Nov 20th. So the puts at about Mid Feb at the earliest the latest is 1st week in March. Once we get I600A approval we are in the home stretch. It will be about 3 to 4 weeks once we get I600A approval. I think we still be on track for traveling end of March beginning of April.
Say lot of prayer the USCIS surprises and we get approval soon :-)

Gifts are on their way
Garrett should be receiving gift from us in the next couple of weeks.
We are allowed to send a gallon sized bag filled with gifts. I bought a bunch of stuff and quickly realized that a gallon sized bag is not very big:-( I now get why they limit you to a 1 gallon bag. It's very easy to get carried away.
I got that together this week. Mike dropped it off at CHSFS on Thursday.
We sent a blanket, rolled as tight as I could get it and tied with ribbon. One outfit rolled tightly with 2 disposable cameras. Small stuffed animal and a photo book with pictures of Mike and I.
Mike and I started painting the room new years day. We are going to finish on saturday. We are keeping busy.
Happy New Year!
