3 month post placement scheduled

We got our 3 month post placement visit with our social worker scheduled. I can't believe it. This time we will be going to the office for our visit. We scheduled it a bit early. On the 12th. I'm headed back to work on the 16th and didn't want to have to start and then then have to take time off again.

I have yet another report to write and we have to pick out 6 pictures. This time I'll have lots to write about. Garrett is starting to test his balance more. He can go about 5 to 10 second before he falls or grabs back on to something.

It sounds like after our next post placement visit we may hear something from CHSFS para legal to do the second part of the finalization. Yahoo. We can't wait to get it all finalized.

Home 2 months

We can hardly believe it's been 2 months already. Garrett has changed so much since the day we arrived home. When we got home he could hardly hold himself in a sitting position with out flopping back. Now he is pulling himself up on everything. He is cruising furniture, Crawling all over the place. I think he finally figured out army crawling takes more energy. He loves to feed himself. He is definitely exerting his independence. Just this morning he was attempting to feed himself with a spoon. That was very messy.

He still is having some grieving and it comes out of no where. Yesterday we tried to go to albertville and announcement came over the loud speaker in a foreign language and he started crying and was in consolable. Our trip was cut short. We got him home and then he was fine a little while later.

Saturday we went to the como zoo and and had a picnic and saw the sparky show and the other zoo animals. Garrett had tons of fun.

We have made big progress on naps. Garrett is now finally taking two naps a day both over an hour. Just this past week naps finally clicked with him or mommy and daddy are finally doing something right. :-) We think leaving the humidifier on is working. We figured that out by pure accident. We have it on at night but we didn't have it on for naps. We left in on by accident last Monday and that's when naps started to go good. yippee.

We have started the finalization process. Just two weeks ago we sent in our first pack of finalization paper work. We hope to be finalized by end of summer early fall. We have our 3 month post placement visit the week before I go back to work. We'll find out what the next set of paperwork is we need to do for finalization.
I think the last set can't happen until 5 months post placement.

Looking forward to Garrett 1st birthday. I went and got the towers for his Tol table yesterday. I can't wait to see what he chooses from his table.

Well that all for now. I'll post some more pictures of our little guys soon :-)

A few more fun pictures

Things have been going really well. Garrett is adjusting really well. He is sleeping 10 + hours at night. Naps are still a challage. But it was good to hear tonight from others they are stuggling with the same thing. We have been home almost 2 months. It is amazing how much he has changed since we met him in Korea. I am dreading going back to work in a month.

Garrett is now crawling and crusing furniture. He has started to let go of furniture and stand for a few seconds before falling. The he hops back up and starts all over again. He is such a joy. Every day is intresting. We started our finalazation paper work. We should be finalized in about 5 months.

Here is some pictures form the last couple of weeks.

I think he likes computers :-)

Well Garrett had taking a liking to computers. He loves mommy computer. So now we have his very own keyboard to pound on,

First reunion since Korea

We had such a fun evening. All of the families that traveled with in a couple of weeks of each other all gathered at Davanni's in Edina tonight. It was so fun to see everyone. It was 5 boys and 2 girls.

I only have one picture where there are no other family members so here it is. I hope to get more at the end of may when we go to the Korean Picnic.

This is Garrett and Noah. We traveled with Noah's parents to Korea and spent the week with them site seeing.

Weekend and Garrett First Hair Cut

Finally we had a nice weekend.

We got to be outside a little on Sunday. Garrett got to meet some more of the neighbors and play on the grass a bit. Of course he wants to put the grass in his mouth so that didn't last very long but here a some pictures.

Garrett also got he first hair cut today. He was sooo good not a single tear. Here a couple picture of that event. Also some picture after hair cut.
