It's been a 1 1/2 weeks since our I600 was filed. No news yet. This is very nerve racking. Last Saturday we did get a confirmation receipt that the Bloomington CIS office did receive our paper work. There is a whole bunch of us in the Korea Program that are waiting for I600 clearance. It's crazy. There are 40 families waiting to travel. We have heard that things are really disorganized at the Bloomington CIS office right now. I have talked with a few people and they are going on 3 and 4 weeks waiting for clearance. But then there are others that are approved in a few days. I think at the end of next week I will have to start being the squeaky wheel and see if I can find out what our status is.
We have been waiting to travel 7 weeks today. I think we still on track for traveling at the end of March if we get I600 clearance by next week. If not I think it will be the beginning of April. Generally it takes 10 to 14 weeks from the time of acceptance. Due to our I600A taking so long and now our I600 I think we will be delayed by 1 or 2 weeks. Let's hope that I'm wrong and we get surprised and travel early. The hard part is being in the dark. Technically we could be approved right now and not know for 2 weeks. The only way we know is getting some paperwork in the mail.
Once we get the paper work we can track it through the system.
Say some prayers that the USCIS speeds up.
Garrett will be 8 months on Feb 13th. We have not recieved any updates.
