Home 1 month

Can you believe it. We have been home for 1 month already. Garrett is so amazing. I swear I look at the pictures of us with him in Korea and he looks so different. He is growing and getting stronger everyday. Just 2 weeks ago he started pulling himself up on every ting. Now he cruising the furniture. Won't be long and he'll be walking. Mike and I got to see a first. It was so neat. Of course Garrett looked at us like we were crazy. He is really starting to get comfortable with us and is really coming out of his shell. He is sleeping great at night and wakes up a happy baby and not scared anymore. It so fun to go in to his room in the morning and he is standing in his crib and has a big huge smile for us. Nap time are another story. We are still working on that.

We had our first post placement visit yesterday and got our first set of finalization paper work. Our Social worker said it will take about 5 months to finalize.

For our first post placement report we had to write our own report on Garrett and we had to write letter to birth mom and foster mom. Our social worker also has to write a report. I had a really hard time writing to birth mom. I have thought of her everyday since we got home from Korea. I know just how hard June 13th Garrett's birthday is going to be for her. That day is very close. So for those of you that are reading this please say a prayer for her. We will be sending many pictures and letters to birth mom and foster mom for Garrett's file in Korea. I hope that she will check and know just how much we love Garrett. I hope one day they will meet again.

On that note here are some pictures of precious miracle.

3 weeks today

Wow I can hardly believe it. We have been home 3 weeks today. Time is flying by.

Garrett has really started to get comfortable with us. He doesn't look so scared. He really starting to show his personality alot more. He is army crawling all over the place. The past few day he really likes standing up and pulling up while holding our hands.

We have our first post placement visit in a week and half. I have so much to do. We have to write letters to the Garrett's agency in Korea, and letters for his Birth mom in case she checks Garrett file and Foster mom. We also have to get a bunch of photos together. So many things to do. We are having a wonderful time and I'm going to dread going back to work in June.

Garrett has his first Appt at the international clinic Wed the 23rd. I hope things go well. He is not going to be happy to have blood drawn.

Garrett loves bath time. He is such a fish. He loves splish splashing in the tub. The first few week he was so terrified. Now he tries to swim in 1 to 2 inches of water. It is soo funny. I can't wait to take some swimming lesson. I think he will love it.

I post some more pictures of our little guy this weekend.

Take care

One final Post tonight

We have been home for a week already. I can't believe it. Time is flying by. Mike and I are sad that he is returning to work on Monday. We finally got Garrett to sleep at night with out waking up every 30- 40 minutes. We have been sleeping in his room on a blow up mattress and he sleeps in between us. But last night he made it from 8:40pm until 1:20am in his crib. That's progress. He wanted nothing to do with it after that tho. He slept with us the rest of the night until 7:30am. Yahoo.

The 2 nights before that he slept with us in the floor on the mattress but only woke up once for a bottle. Today he took a 2 hour nap in his crib and I got him to fall asleep in his crib tonight. Not sure how long that going to last i should be sleeping right now. I just had to post a few more pictures of our time in Korea and Of course Garrett.

Enjoy

One more

This is the night we got home and he wanted to be up all night long. This was the night I got peed on twice :-) Still learning about little boys :-) This is his third set of Pajamas that night.

First few days home

It been a few days since I have posted. We are all settling in and trying to get on a schedule. Nights have been really rough our little guy. He is teething and grieving. Mike and I have been taking turns comforting him when he starts crying. He is usually sound to sleep and screaming. He is use to sleeping on the floor and have tried the floor and the crib no matter where we put him he still does the same thing. So now we are just putting him in the crib and comforting him till he goes back to sleep. The days are pretty good. He is very happy and playful during the day.

Today we ventured out to babies r us. He slept in the carrier the entire time. Then we got home he was wide awake.

We are heading to the doctors on Thur and the international clinic at the end of the month.

I gotta get going Garrett is crying. I'll post more picture next time.
