Home 1 month

Can you believe it. We have been home for 1 month already. Garrett is so amazing. I swear I look at the pictures of us with him in Korea and he looks so different. He is growing and getting stronger everyday. Just 2 weeks ago he started pulling himself up on every ting. Now he cruising the furniture. Won't be long and he'll be walking. Mike and I got to see a first. It was so neat. Of course Garrett looked at us like we were crazy. He is really starting to get comfortable with us and is really coming out of his shell. He is sleeping great at night and wakes up a happy baby and not scared anymore. It so fun to go in to his room in the morning and he is standing in his crib and has a big huge smile for us. Nap time are another story. We are still working on that.

We had our first post placement visit yesterday and got our first set of finalization paper work. Our Social worker said it will take about 5 months to finalize.

For our first post placement report we had to write our own report on Garrett and we had to write letter to birth mom and foster mom. Our social worker also has to write a report. I had a really hard time writing to birth mom. I have thought of her everyday since we got home from Korea. I know just how hard June 13th Garrett's birthday is going to be for her. That day is very close. So for those of you that are reading this please say a prayer for her. We will be sending many pictures and letters to birth mom and foster mom for Garrett's file in Korea. I hope that she will check and know just how much we love Garrett. I hope one day they will meet again.

On that note here are some pictures of precious miracle.

Oh Annette and Mike ... those photos are so adorable. He looks like he's growing SO much! I know what you mean about thinking about BM and FM. We think too about BM/BF and caregivers and how emotional it is for so many people. We're not too far behind you!
